Change in Funeral Mass

As was reported in the March, 2010 Parish Council minutes, the Worship Team recommended moving the optional Family Remarks at Masses of Christian Burial from the end of Mass to immediately after the Entrance Procession and before the Opening Hymn.  This continues to provide the opportunity for a family member to address the faith life of the deceased while allowing the Mass to focus on Christ’s redemptive act and promise of eternal life without interruption.  Members of the Worship Team have reviewed and discussed this change with Fr. Gardner and the music and bereavement ministries.  It will be adopted as parish procedure effective June 6, 2010.
